Anti-Jewish hatred, according to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, “has pervaded Western art, politics, and popular culture for centuries.” Hatred, hostility, prejudice, and discrimination against Jews has been the root motive for the exile, persecution, and death of the Jewish people dating back to expulsion from Rome in 139 B.C.E and continues to thrive to this very day. Nazi propagandists exploited these views with deadly consequences.
The information age has ushered in a new era in which promoting negative attitudes about Jews by spreading propaganda or disinformation has never been easier. It should come as no surprise that information warfare tactics have been widely adopted by antisemitic, anti-Israeli purveyors of hate.
The Bear Jew Journal was established to counter the scourge of dangerous antisemitic rhetoric and hold actors accountable for their role in propagating hate.
October 7 Massacre
On October 7, Hamas terrorists waged the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust — slaughtering babies, raping women, burning whole families alive, and taking hundreds of innocent civilians hostage. Terrorists are still holding over 100 men, women, and children in captivity.
